Prof. Nabil Samman

Nabil Samman FRCS FCSHK FDSRCS Dr hc

Professor Samman graduated dentistry from Sydney, Australia and medicine from Leicester, UK. He is a surgical fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and a dental fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of England. He served as professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Hong Kong from 2002 to 2017, as well as Chief of Service for Maxillofacial Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital Hong Kong.

Professor Samman is a Past President of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and current Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

 Professor Samman’s honorary positions include: 

Honorary Professor University of Hong Kong, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Peking University (China), Prince of Songkla University (Thailand)
Honorary Fellow American and Australian/New Zealand Associations of OMS
Honorary Director Children’s Surgical Centre Cambodia
