In this presentation, Dr. Biglioli will cover key concepts and principles of facial paralysis treatment, introduce the latest technical innovations in facial reanimation, and provide valuable insights into developing your own approach to this complex field.
1. The participants will learn about the different types of bony and soft tissue reconstruction options and understand the UIC reconstruction philosophy.
2. The participants will learn about nerve reconstruction including why allogenic nerves are preferred and the benefits of immediate reconstruction.
3. The participants will learn the indications and contraindications to immediate dental reconstruction.

Dr. Biglioli has performed numerous major maxillofacial and reconstructive microsurgery operations. His interests are focused on reconstructive microsurgery, as applied to oral and facial nerve lesions, the surgery of oral, facial, and cranio-facial tumors, maxillo-facial trauma and skeletal deformities of the face.He has attended many of the major centers of reconstructive surgery and microsurgery worldwide: the Department of Plastic Surgery at Tokyo University, the Department of Plastic Surgery at Taiwan University, the Department of Plastic Surgery at Langone Medical Centre, New York University, the Department of Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, and the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.

- He teaches Maxillofacial Surgery at Milan University Medical School, Physiotherapy School, Speech Therapy School, and the School of Specialization in Maxillofacial Surgery, General Surgery, and Neurosurgery.

Co-writer of 10 medical texts.
