"Patient-Specific Solutions in Non-Augmentative Preprosthetic Restoration"

Overview:

Digitization and rapid prototyping technologies have enabled a new non-augmentative preprosthetic surgical treatment approach: Preprosthetic Individual Patient Solutions (IPS®) Unlike the old subperiosteal implants these implants are additively manufactured from 3D imaging data and have a "one fit only" design with an unsurpassed primary stability due to rigid fixation. Pre prosthetic IPS Implants® are a new option for patients with atrophic jaws and jaw defects after ablative tumor treatment and post-traumatic and congenital jaw deformities. The course will introduce the innovation and report first experiences over four years from two centers.

Learning Objectives:

1. To show the range of indications for different methods for implant borne dental rehabilitation in severe cases. To analyze 3D imaging properly and to evaluate the bony situation in combination with the individual soft-tissue situation together with the patient-specific co-morbidities.
2. To teach the planning procedure for Preprosthetic JPS Implants® step by step.
3. To learn about the design specifications of Preprosthetic JPS Implants® .
4. To learn about the whole portfolio of Pre prosthetic IPS Implants® : from implant to suprastructure.
5. To avoid, handle and solve complications.
