The management of ballistic and avulsive injuries, presents a challenge for any surgical professional and requires a structured and sequential approach. Treatment is based primarily on saving life, preventing further damage, restoring function and finally restoring aesthetics.

Dr. Eric Kahugu
Dr. Eric Kahugu is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon and Past President of the Pan African Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons (AfAOMS), Member of the Executive Committee of the International Association Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS), Member of the Education Committee of the International Association Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and President of the Eastern Africa Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons (EAAOMS).
He has been in practice for the past 25 years and has a special interest in management of Craniofacial Trauma, Aesthetic Facial surgery. His practice is based at the Upper Hill Medical Centre and Nairobi Hospital where he previously sat on the Board of Management.
